Ai Weiwei is a rarely Chinese conceptual artist, curator and architect. For 25 years Ai Weiwei was consistently one of the most innovative figures in China's art world. He helped direct the course of Chinese art, not only through his own artistic production, but also through his curatorial, editorial and design projects.'Bird's nest' is the main stadium for the Beijing Olympics. The design was awarded to a submission from the Swiss architecture firm Herzog & de Meuron in April 2003, after a bidding process that included 13 final submissions. Ai Weiwei designed 'bird's nest', but he didn't finish his project. He design this stadium with freedom and open-ended mind. He want to make proggressive chance by 'bird's nest', but china government focused on control the journals and human rights oppression. Ai Weiwei always against the Chinese government when it appeared that the Olympics was getting full of human rights oppression and journals management. Ai Weiwei sigh about this happening. He always want to more freedom to Chinese.
Whatever people think about his intention, I could tell that he did good job as a person who can tell his thought using his ability. Although Ai Weiwei helped design that amazing architecture on purpose of showing his political opinion against Chinese government, It is true that he gave a chance to think about current situation of China to people who saw that brilliant art work.
